The Algocence Founder Fund Programme.
A small number of institutions fund the research and development of a defined financial system. Algocence builds it, the institution deploys it first, and Algocence retains the reusable intellectual property to develop further across the region.
Institutions fund the research. Algocence builds the system.
The same structure repeats for every partner: capital in, capability out, reusable IP retained.
Fund
The institution finances a defined research or development programme.
Build
Algocence develops the model, software, dataset or methodology.
Deploy
The institution becomes the first user, shaping real requirements.
Retain
Algocence keeps the generalized capability and develops it further for other institutions.
Institutions with a defined problem and the will to go first.
Eligible institutions
Banks, credit unions, insurers, investment firms, pension funds, corporations, public institutions and development organizations.
A defined problem
A specific risk, decision or process that existing tools handle poorly — not an open-ended mandate.
Willing to be the first user
Partners deploy first and help shape requirements with their own data and operations.
Comfortable with shared IP
Your data and institution-specific outputs stay yours; the generalized capability stays with Algocence.
Two tracks, one relationship.
No institution needs to start at the top. Most begin with a diagnostic and move up as the system proves itself.
Institutional Diagnostic
Findings, benchmarks and a technology roadmap.
Paid Pilot
A working prototype tested on real data.
Development Partnership
Co-funded development and first deployment.
Enterprise Subscription
Ongoing access, research and data.
Research Sponsorship
Support a research programme and receive briefings, data releases and early findings.
Industry Consortium
Several institutions co-fund a Development Partnership for shared infrastructure none could justify alone.
Indicative contributions, by engagement.
Every engagement is scoped to a defined problem — not an open-ended retainer. Figures are indicative and confirmed in each proposal.
| Engagement | Track | Contribution (JMD) | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Institutional Diagnostic | Project | J$250k – J$1M | A defined investigation of one institutional problem, with findings, benchmarks and a technology roadmap. |
| Paid Pilot | Project | J$500k – J$2M | A controlled prototype deployment against real data, with implementation reporting and training. |
| Development Partnership | Project | J$1.5M – J$5M | Substantial co-funded development, first deployment and influence over requirements. |
| Enterprise Subscription | Project | J$2M – J$10M / yr | Recurring access to the deployed system, with continued research and data. |
| Research Sponsorship | Research | J$500k – J$1M / yr | Research reports, closed briefings and early access to findings and benchmark data. |
| Industry Consortium | Shared | Cost shared | A Development Partnership co-funded by several institutions, with costs divided between members. |
Five founding positions.
Founding Partner is a status, not a separate tier. It is open to Development Partners and consortium members in the first cohort committing J$2M or more.
What Founding Partners add
- Preferred pricing on future subscriptions and engagements
- A defined exclusivity window for the funded capability, agreed in writing
- A named role in the related research programme
- Early access to research findings, briefings and benchmark data
Funding real research, not an idea.
Founding partners fund the next stage of work already under way in the Algocence research programmes.

A clear line between what stays with you and what stays with us.
This distinction is written into every Founder Fund agreement before work begins. The institution is not buying Algocence or its core intellectual property.
Your institution receives and retains
- Its confidential data, in full
- Institution-specific outputs and configurations
- Any proprietary information agreed by contract
- Early access and, where negotiated, a defined exclusivity window
Algocence retains
- Background IP — anything Algocence owned before the engagement
- Platform IP — the generalized software, algorithms and architecture
- Project IP — new generalizable capability developed through the work
- The right to develop and commercialize the generalized capability elsewhere

Frequently asked.
How long is the exclusivity window?
It is agreed in writing for each engagement before work begins, and applies only to the specific capability you fund. It is designed to give founding partners a real head start without preventing the wider region from benefiting later.
What if we want to own the IP outright?
The Founder Fund is built on shared IP, which is what keeps contributions well below the cost of a fully bespoke build. If outright ownership is essential, a custom institutional partnership may be the better route — we can discuss both.
Is our data shared with other institutions?
No. Your data is used only for your engagement, under a written agreement, and never shared with other partners. Published research never identifies an institution without its written consent.
Can we start small?
Yes. Most institutions begin with an Institutional Diagnostic and only move to a pilot or development partnership once the value is clear.
Can several institutions fund the same system together?
Yes — that is an Industry Consortium. Members share the cost of infrastructure that none could justify alone, while each keeps its own data private.
What happens after the funded project ends?
Partners typically move to an Enterprise Subscription for ongoing access, updates, research and data, at preferred pricing for Founding Partners.
Five founding positions. One research programme. A system built once, deployed across the region.
